Youth Scholarship Program
Ballarat Jaguar and Land Rover Youth Scholarship Program
Keeping rare arts and trades alive is what we stand for. Doing this means building opportunities to exchange knowledge and skills for those interested in pursuing it as a career.
We support students considering career options in rare arts and trades practice to have the opportunity to connect with artisans who practice and experience these areas first-hand. School programs and TAFES today have little programming in the Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades, making this very difficult. The Rare Trades Centre fills this gap by offering a pathway for career development.
A student's ability to invest in full-price classes should not limit their access to learning so a fund has been established to support youth to attend a class at the Rare Trades Centre.
The Youth Scholarship Program at the Centre for Rare Arts & Forgotten Trades is sponsored by Ballarat Jaguar and Land Rover.
"The Rare Trades Centre scholarship has provided me with the opportunity to learn the most exciting and beneficial of crafts. The knowledge I have learned is already proving to be fruitful in my endeavours to help preserve the natural world! This scholarship has provided me with more freedom to follow my heart and make the world around me a brighter place. I am so grateful for this opportunity and the pathways it has opened for me, and I cannot wait for my next workshop."
