ABOUT :
Steve Ashton is a Circular Sock Knitting Machine (CSM) Expert from Canada. He has been cranking for about 20 years. Over that time, he has knit on almost every make and model of CSM. Steve is a great proponent of applying the wisdom of the generations of Hand-Knitters to CSM cranking.
WE SAY:
Steve teaches at the annual Erlbacher Homecoming and attends Crank-Ins all over North America. He has developed tools and techniques for use with the CSM and has written two books on the machine. Steve previously owned and operated his own business, Freedom Kilts, developing and producing the Contemporary Style Kilt.
