ABOUT RON AND CATHIE:
Ron and Cathie Twaddle are the wicker workers behind the Brisbane-based business And Woven Cane. They have been making and repairing classic cane furniture and traditional baskets and running workshops for over 40 years.
WE SAY:
Ron has hand-caned thousands of chairs, settees, chaises and French beds and Cathie excels at basketry and more intricate work. The pair are passionate about passing on their trade to preserve the knowledge and skills of wicker work.
