ABOUT PETE:
Peter Pilven began training as a potter at Sovereign Hill in 1972. He studied at the School of Mines before continuing his studies in Western Australia and the United Kingdom. In 1982, Pete began lecturing at what is now known as Federation University and led the Visual Arts department until his retirement in 2012.
WE SAY:
Pete is a renowned Ballarat ceramic artist. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions around the country and he was the Artist in Residence at the Denmark International Ceramics Centre in 2012. Since his retirement, Pete has continued his arts practice from his studio in Mt Pleasant.
