ABOUT MATT:
Matt Mewburn is a blacksmith and the founder of Eveleigh Works. He practices his rare trade full-time both running classes and taking commissions for sculptural and architectural works.
WE SAY:
Matt completed his formal training in Blacksmithing at Ultimo TAFE and started his own company working on a commission basis for clients in and around Sydney. In 2016, he relocated his business to the historic Eveleigh Locomotive Workshops and founded Eveleigh Works. He turned his attention to teaching and has taught every weekend since. During his time at Eveleigh Works, Matt has collaborated with many local and international artisans from a diverse range of metal disciplines including knife makers, blacksmiths, and artists.
