WORKSHOP STYLE

Traditional, intricate, meditative.

ABOUT LINDY:

Lindy de Wijn fell in love with the art of bobbin lace in her teens. It now plays a central role in her arts practice and life. Her contemporary creations honour traditional techniques while taking lace ‘beyond the doily’.

WE SAY:
Lindy has a Master of Art – Art in Public Space and has started bringing lace into her public art practice over the last decade. She is a past president of the Victoria Branch of the Australian Lace Guild and is Co-Founder of InterLace Oceania – a group for contemporary lacemakers from Australia and New Zealand. Lindy plays with scale, medium, styles and techniques in her work to push the boundaries of traditional lace. She is passionate about demystifying the art of lacemaking and passes on her knowledge and skills through workshops and demonstrations.
