ABOUT JOY:
Joy Smith is a tapestry weaver with decades of experience. She has taught at various tertiary institutions as well at the Australian Tapestry Workshop and other community groups.
WE SAY:
In addition to working with West Dean Tapestry Studio and the Australian Tapestry Workshop, Joy has had a long personal studio practice. Joy has work in both public and private collections around the world. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions and reviewed in academic journals both domestically and internationally. In 2023, Joy was Artist in Residence at the Athenaeum Library, Melbourne.
