ABOUT ERIN:
Erin has been designing and sewing since she was seven years old and completed her formal training at RMIT University. She has more than 20 years industry experience across production, research, design, teaching and management. Now, Erin leads the Rare Trades Centre as General Manager.
WE SAY:
Since completing a Bachelor of Design in Fashion at RMIT University in 2005, Erin gained experience with Maison Martin Margiela in Paris before settling in Melbourne and working for labels including Materialbyproduct, Mariana Hardwick, the Social Studio and Tiffany Treloar. Erin has also taught for RMIT and Holmesglen in their fashion programs. Her most recent role was managing Sovereign Hill’s costume department where she honed her specialization in 1850s historical dressmaking techniques. Erin is an experienced teacher with a wide range of industry knowledge and skills to share.
