Tools, Techniques & Terminology: The CSM Crank-In

About this workshop
Join visiting Canadian guest presenter and mentor Steve Ashton for a Crank-In!
In this full-day workshop, you will get a deep dive into the Circular Sock Knitting Machine (CSM). Steve Ashton will provide advice, support, and tuition on using your machine to create knitted works.A Circular Sock Knitting Machine (CSM) is a mechanical hand-cranked tool used to create a continuous circular seamless knitted body – traditionally socks or hosiery – but with practice and creative hands can be used to make leg warmers, wrist warmers, small hats, scarves, and more.
A 'Crank-In' usually invites participants to bring their CSM from home for a group leaning experience. In this instance, some machines will also be available for beginners to use. Participants will need to bring their own yarn from home.
