Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the land on which we operate. We acknowledge their unceded sovereignty over Wadawurrung Country, and the ongoing hardship and trauma as a result of colonisation. The history and continuous culture of the Wadawurrung people is an important part of our shared story.

About this workshop
Learn the basics of screen printing with designer, Nicola Cerini.  
In this full-day workshop, Nicola will teach the basics of screen printing on fabric and give you the skills and knowledge to set up your own fabric printing studio. You will immerse yourself in the process and experiment with a simple and effective screen printing technique using cut-paper stencils to print up to 6 fabric samples, 
At the end of the day, you will take home a linen T-towel and denim apron made with the designs you have created in the workshop.

All materials are provided but if you have some special plain or textured fabric you’d like to print on, feel free to bring it. You may also wish to bring a pen, notepad, snacks, lunch and water.

Please wear old work clothes and bring apron/old shirt. Closed toed shoes are required.

You will learn traditional screen printing techniques using cut-paper stencils

A morning tea and lunch break are included with morning tea provided
