Metal Etching & Coptic Stitching: Make a Bound Book
About this workshop
Join mixed media artist Jen Crossley and learn metal etching and Coptic stitching to make a bound book with an etched metal cover.
Be warned, metal etching can be addictive! But Jen will teach you everything you need to know to do it safely at home.
In this full-day workshop, you will make a book cover out of brass which you will decorate through the etching process. You will learn to use the Coptic stitch to bind your book together. Finally, you will decorate the spine of your book with some treasures that you’ve brought from home.
At the end of the day, you can take your book home to use as a journal or display in pride of place.
