Introduction to Lino Printing
About this workshop
Begin your lino printing journey with Astrid Lempriere.
In this half day workshop, you will learn the basics of lino printing. You will learn to design your carving, to create different textures, movement and shading with different mark making processes, and practice printing by hand and mechanically using an Enjay press.
At the end of the workshop, you will take home your lino block and two prints of your carving on fine Japanese paper.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen. You may bring inspiration photos if you wish.
Clothing guidelines
Comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting ink on and closed-toed shoes.

Small class size – 8 participants max

You will learn
In this workshop, you will gain and understanding of the tools and materials used in lino printing. You will try your hand at basic design, safe and effective carving techniques and the printing process.
