Introduction to Hand Carved Letters in Stone
About this workshop
Learn to make your own stone carved letters with letter carver and calligrapher, Greg Hanlon.
In this 2-day workshop, you will learn the three basic techniques used for V-incised letters and numbers in stone. After a little practice, you will create a design that could include a few letters, your street number or a monogram. You will use the hammers and chisels to rhythmically tap your design into the stone.
At the end of the workshop, you will have your original design forever carved in stone.

What do I need to bring?
Snacks, lunch, water bottle, notepad and pen.
Clothing guidelines
Workshop appropriate - closed toe shoes, no hanging jewellery, hair tied back. Clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit grubby in the workshop.
