Forge a Colonial Era Tomahawk
About this workshop
Learn to make a Tomahawk with Rob Hayes.
One of the most iconic items of the North American colonial era is the Tomahawk. Produced across Europe and in the early American colonies, these axes were very popular among European and Indigenous people as tools, weapons, ceremonial pieces, and trade goods.
In this full-day workshop, you will learn how to forge weld a wrapped eye tomahawk in the classic colonial era style, heat treat it in the historical manner, and mount it to a tomahawk handle.
At the end of the day, you will leave with a tomahawk of your own creation.
