Silversmithing - Cuttlefish Casting
About this workshop
Embark on an exciting journey into the ancient art of cuttlefish casting with Rachel Grose.
In this full-day workshop, you will learn to harness the natural beauty and texture of the cuttlefish bone in a silversmithing technique that has been used for centuries.
You will carve and shape the cuttlefish bone to make a mould and pour molten silver into it to take on the shape and unique properties of the material.
